New Exhibit Alert: The Martin Wong Graffiti Collection

NEW YORK, USA; For New Yorkers and people visiting NYC in March, there’s a fantastic new exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York. It’s the Martin Wong Graffiti Collection and there’s more than 100 canvases on display. The late painter Wong had been collecting graffiti works for years, and was a founder of the Museum of American Graffiti in New York City. He once aspired to amass the largest collection of graffiti works in the world. Unfortunately, he died before he could reach his goal. But his impressive collection was left to the Museum of the City of New York, and now is your chance to take a look.

Among the artists featured in this show are FUTURA 2000, LADY PINK, Lee Quinones, and Christopher “Daze” Ellis. This new exhibit also includes sketches and works on paper, as well as about 50 black books from various artists. This collection has never been open to the public before, so we highly recommend checking it out.
